Ifedayo (CH)
Ifedayo means “Love becomes Joy” in Yoruba, a language from West Africa.
Her musical journey is a bridge between cultures, roots, and rhythm.
In 2008, she discovered the electronic music scene in Zurich, Switzerland, where a single experience sparked her devotion to Deep House. At a party, a guest joined the DJs with a djembe, and that moment awakened her connection to natural drum sounds. A year later, she bought her first DJ equipment, searching for a sound that didn’t yet exist for her. Only a few artists like Robert Owens, dOP, Pablo Bolívar, and Subb‑An reflected the essence she was drawn to.
In 2009, she traveled to the motherland for the first time — an experience that transformed her life. She fell in love with the people, their wisdom, and their rhythm. In 2012, she discovered the term Afro House, and from that moment, nothing could stop her from exploring and creating music filled with joy.
By 2022, she returned to DJing, performing in her village and later in Zurich, where she continues to play live shows. Her dedication to music is rooted in preserving culture and connection — blending her African heritage with modern electronic sound.
During her break from DJing, she studied Social Work, embracing her second passion: helping others. Today, her music reflects that balance between soul, community, and rhythm — a celebration of love that becomes joy.
